Managing your Swaply account
In this section, we'll explore the Swaply account interface so you can understand what each item on the app does.
Use the numbers on the image to quickly find the individual results descriptions below.
Security Tab

#1 Show/Hide Address
Clicking the "eye" button toggles the visibility of your crypto wallet address.
When hidden, the address field will be masked with asterisks (****) for safety.
#2 2-Step Verification
Additional security through the use of a "passkey," which is embedded into your device (computer, laptop, phone, etc.), which requires you to authenticate through industry-standard methods such as your fingerprint, face scan, or device screen lock, like a PIN.
This means when you enable and register a device with a passkey, operations like Swap, Withdraw, etc., will prompt for that verification before executing, allowing you enhanced safety on the platform.
Swaply does not own or maintain your passkey! We merely leverage the built-in security your device provides to any developer.
#3 Wallet Sign-Out
Signs you out of the in-app wallet. You can sign in/restore the next time you visit.
#4 Export Wallet
This allows you to retrieve the private key of your in-app wallet. Note that the private key is ALL that is needed for someone to take over your wallet completely.
This feature is made available because the in-app wallet is YOURS, and you are fully within your right to import the private key into another wallet (such as MetaMask). This is the definition of a self-custody wallet. Swaply does not own the wallet address. You own the wallet!
Warning: Exporting your wallet could be risky as it displays your private key in clear text. To avoid possible loss of funds, make sure no one else sees or is able to capture a screenshot while you retrieve your private key. Many phishing campaigns ask for your private key to gain access to your account. You should never share your private key with ANYONE.
